The U.S. B1/B2 Visa for Saudis 2026 — Documents, Interview Questions, and Validity

By Mohammed Al-Ahdal — founder of Smooth Travel · Last updated 2026-09-24

Summary

4 steps: DS-160 → pay the fees → book the interview → the interview. The most important thing in the interview: prove that you will return to Saudi Arabia.

The steps in detail

  1. DS-160 form — any mistake in it can throw off the interview. We fill it out for you professionally.
  2. The account and paying the MRV fee — we pay it and create the account.
  3. Booking the interview — Riyadh, Jeddah, or Dhahran. Dhahran is usually the fastest.
  4. The interview — a few minutes, direct questions.
  5. Collecting your passport — from 3 days to a month after the interview.

FAQ

What if I have a previous, expired U.S. visa? The interview-waiver rules have narrowed considerably since 2025, so in most cases you'll need an interview — send us a photo of your previous visa and we'll verify your situation. How long can I stay in the U.S.? The border officer decides this at entry, usually up to 6 months. Does the visa guarantee entry? No, the final decision rests with the border officer.
